Aid for Erin: Caring for Stroke Recovery and father's needs.

My name is Holly Chesley. My best friend of 20 + years is always helping others when they are in need. Now she is the one that is in need of some assistance.

Erin's mom Karen had a moderate stroke with her left side being paralyzed on Saturday. She was transported to Portland by ambulance and put into ICU. Monday they were able to take her out of ICU and put into a step-down unit. We are still not sure when she will be going to a rehab facility to have physical therapy. She is able to talk but not very well. She gotten back some movement in her arm as well as her leg. Erin's dad is having to stay with a family member in NH due to health issues of his own and Erin not being able to be right there at home to take care of him. Erin is currently out of work and traveling back and forth daily between home, Portland Hospital and NH to help take care of her parent's needs. Not only has it been stressful but this has put a financial strain on her so any little bit will help. I hope we can do our best to give back to someone that is always helping and doing for others.
