Aid for Eric's Family: Fire Recovery
Donation protected
Hello everyone, my name is Eric Matthew Brown, and unfortunately, like many others, my family's home was devoured by the flames of the Eaton Canyon fire just a few days ago in Altadena. This extremely distressing event was the effect of the high winds that only come around once every few years, but this time with an even more deadly catch.
This is the home my great-grandparents raised their children in and where my grandma currently still resided. The home where we would spend weekends wrenching on cars, building projects, and creating memories. The space where my dogs would get to run freely, and I spent a lot of my childhood on weekends where friends would come over, and some of the best moments were made. With the lack of warning, my grandma left with just the clothes on her back. We were nearly able to grab important documents and our two project cars we were currently working on. The house was recently remodeled top to bottom with all new appliances, fresh plumbing, and electrical. This is something you’d never expect to happen until it does.
My grandma is a hard worker. She would selflessly look after her neighbors and those in need when there was a call to action. Now she needs help more than ever, and that’s why I’m reaching out to the community and your support to help her in this dire time.
The funds from your donation will be used to help her buy all new clothes, temporary housing, food, and any other needs she’ll have until we can get things sorted and a new home for her underway.
I can’t thank you all enough for any support that you can provide. I’m forever grateful, and I know she will be too. These trying times really bring out the best in us, and I intend to do my part in helping others in need as well.
