Aid for Eric's Critical Condition
Donation protected
Eric Davis, 53, a beloved friend and father was tragically involved in a severe car accident on Monday, December 9, 2024. Eric, a dedicated father to three children—Mason (20), Troy (18), and Colby (16)—and the sole provider for his family, now faces a long and uncertain road to recovery due to extensive injuries.
The accident, which remains under investigation, left Eric in critical condition. His injuries include broken eye sockets, orbital bones, a fractured nose, six broken ribs, a cracked sternum, a lower lumbar fracture, a severely severed leg, and arm dislocation. Complications from the accident also led to a heart attack and significant blood loss, requiring two transfusions. Eric has undergone six surgeries on his leg alone, with many more anticipated, and his family may face the difficult decision of amputation.
Currently, Eric is being transferred to U of M Hospital in Ann Arbor for specialized care. Unfortunately, his condition has worsened with the onset of a fever and pneumonia. Despite the challenges, Eric’s family remains hopeful and steadfast in supporting him.
Eric’s children are now navigating this difficult time together, with Mason, his eldest son and power of attorney, stepping up to care for his younger brothers. With four pets—two dogs, a snake, and a bird—at home, the family is balancing many responsibilities.
Donations are being sought to help cover daily expenses such as food, utilities, and transportation costs, as well as to support Mason as he manages the household and commutes for Eric’s medical care. Every contribution will ease the burden during this challenging time and ensure the Davis family can focus on Eric’s recovery and their well-being.
