My name is Spike Murphy-Rose, and I am hosting this fundraising page for my friend and fellow teacher Eman Sameer in Gaza. Please read her words, and give what you can to help her, her children, and the war orphans she cares for to survive the ongoing ethnic cleansing taking place in Gaza until they can be evacuated when the borders open again:

“Hello my friends I will tell you my story. I am Eman from Palestine, Gaza. In the past, our life was full of stability, with a job, a house and a beautiful family. However, everything changed when we witnessed the horror of war. When the Israeli army forced us to leave our homes, because of the intensity of the bombing that was everywhere, we were forced to take refuge in temporary tents. I lost my husband and child in the bombings. Then my sister. Our life has become a hard struggle with no water, no food, no shelter, no work. I have lost everything, my past and my present.

Yet in the midst of this chaos, my family remains my only anchor and I am determined to protect them from any further harm. I support my children and my sister's children because they lost their mother and father. I help my other sisters and their children. I take care of my mother and aunt, who are elderly and ill. And I share what little we have with our neighbors and the orphaned children in our neighborhood. I appeal for your support to help us escape Gaza.

Providing psychological assistance to my children and building a new future for them that is worthy of their value as human beings. I only wish for a safe life for my family. I appeal to all kind souls to lend a helping hand to my family and me. Do not abandon us in the midst of this relentless conflict. We are human beings who deserve dignity and peace.

Let us not be torn apart by war, but let us dialogue in harmony and protect the well-being of our loved ones. I appeal to you, do not leave me alone. We are in dire need of your help. Please help my children survive this nightmare.”
