Latest Update!! (Last week of Dec 2024)
Elliott has been discharged from Madonna, and is home with his Wife and Babies!! Elliott's currently waiting to find out when they will place his skull flap back on-- but things are looking really good. Elliott will continue with Outpatient Rebab and follow with doctors closely. The fight is still on! Thank you all for your support!

ELLIOTT IS BACK TO NEBRASKA!! Elliott was transported to Madonna Friday 12/20! This is going to be a long journey but man has Elliott shown he’s ready for the fight. Thanks everyone for your continued sharing of this gofundme.
Friends and Family please read. A dear friend and Employee, Keri's husband is in the ICU- their family could use all the help they can get. Keri and Elliott Halvorsen have 4 children at home- and this is going to be a long road ahead for them all. Please consider donating any amount you can to help with medical expenses as well as loss of income while Elliott is fighting for his life in the ICU. See a note below from Keri. Even if you cannot help, please share to your page! If you are interested in starting a Meal Train, I will gladly set that up too.
UPDATE THURSDAY 12/19/24. Your Prayers and Thoughts have not gone unnoticed!! Elliott is continuing to fight and isn't giving up! His vitals have been stable and he is going in the right direction in so many important areas. Keri will hopefully have more answers on transporting him back to Lincoln soon. Please continue to share this gofundme! It is absolutely heart filling to see all the contributions so far. This is going to be a long road ahead for Elliott and Keri but they are definitely not alone, and this is a testament to that!!
UPDATE Friday 12/13: Super exciting news!!! We are off the vent and breathing on our own!!!!! He is also all sedatives and just using some medications for anxiousness.  After I knew he was stable, I popped out to get some fresh air with Caden and during that time Elliott tried to get out of bed and take his monitors off. They say “the stubborn way is the Truman way!” (The hospital name of where he is) and boy is he living up to that! He knows who I am and is following all of the commands asked of him.  God is so so good! VITALS ARE STABLE!

UPDATE AS OF WED 12/11/24
"Yesterday evening around 6 Elliott started to not answer questions appropriately and became combative. Around 830pm I noticed that his right pupil was dilated and not responding. I also noticed around that same time, that the bruising/swelling from his fracture around his right ear was becoming more swollen. I mentioned those to the nurse. They contacted neurology who came in and evaluated him. They took him down for a CT where they found that the swelling on his brain got worse so they elected for emergency craniotomy. He went into surgery around midnight and came out about 4 o’clock this morning. The neurologist and surgical team (who is absolutely amazing!) said everything went great and he should be on the road to recovery from this point moving forward. He is currently on a ventilator so I am unable to communicate with him however, he did squeeze my hand when I asked him if he knew who I was. I will keep updating as I know more! Thank you for all the continued thoughts and prayers. ❤️" - Keri

"Now that the dust has settled a little bit, I wanted to share some information with our friends and family. Elliott had a medical episode this weekend that caused him to be in an accident (I will not go into details about the accident itself). He is currently in the ICU in Kansas City with severe head trauma and a neck fracture. The doctors and medical team here have been wonderful and he is receiving the best care. They have him stable at this time and are keeping him here for a few days and planning hospital transport back to Lincoln hopefully Friday if everything goes well. They said that the next 24-48 hours are the most critical as that is when neurologically they see the most changes. Elliott could really use the thoughts, prayers, and positive vibes. He hasn’t been very responsive but did get a little sassy during a neurology exam told the doctor in a round about way how he felt about missing the Chiefs game. He is doing well today just quite a bit agitated but we got a thumbs up so that is progress. ❤️" - Keri on December 9, 2024.
