We are reaching out for help following a very scary week for our family. This past Sunday, Edjo suffered a stroke.

The doctors discovered that he has a PFO (a hole in the heart), which led to a stroke. While he is now home, he is dealing with a "bruised scar" on the brain that is extremely sensitive. To prevent phantom stroke symptoms and allow his brain to heal, the doctors have ordered total rest, hydration, and sleep. Because of this, Edjo is strictly unable to work.

I am doing everything I can to cover our daily expenses and smaller bills, but we depend on Edjo’s income for our major household obligations, including our housing and transportation. With three children living at home and two more who visit us on a regular basis, keeping our home stable for them is our top priority.

We want to make sure the kids have a consistent, stress-free environment while Edjo recovers. Our goal for this fundraiser is to cover our primary living expenses for the next few months. This will allow Edjo to follow the doctors' orders for total rest without the constant weight of wondering how we will maintain our home and vehicles for our family.
