I'm raising funds to help a family dear to my heart.

Ed has been admitted multiple times in the last month. His diagnosis is severe mitral valve prolapse and heart failure. He is in cardiac ICU at St. Ritas. They have ruled out lung and colon cancer and can now work on a plan to repair his heart. He is not a candidate for valve repair as of yesterday. The plan is to allow him to rest with mechanical ventilation and a balloon in his heart to take off some of the work load. They will reevaluate the valve repair next week. If he is still not a candidate he will be transported to either Cleveland Clinic or OSU for an implanted device that will require open heart surgery. He is still in critical condition but fighting.

Ed is the patriarch of the family. He is a veteran, but because he saw no war time his benefits are limited. Ed enjoys quality family time, especially with his great grandchildren. He is stubborn, funny and always puts his faily first. His daughter April has been off work for 6 weeks to be by his side. These funds will help her financially until she is able to return to work.
