Building fire killing 3 people in Dyckman on 05/04/26. We are displaced, and the Red Cross is only willing to give us a hotel for 2 nights, no longer. We don’t know when we will be back in our home.

We are a family of 4, with two bunnies, and we don’t know what items we may have lost in the fire due to them not allowing us back in the building. Our apartment likely is suffering water damage, and was one of the only apartments they ran a hose through. Our bedroom windows are visibly broken from the external view. We obtained minor injuries exiting the fire escape.

All donations will be able to provide us food, medicine, clothes, phones (due to losing them in the fire), transportation, and hopefully a place to stay altogether since we are currently separated.

THIS FIRE WAS PREVENTABLE!!! WE ARE LOOKING TO PURSUE LEGAL ACTION AS A BUILDING AGAINST OUR LANDLORD! WE NEED TO HELP OUR COMMUNITY THAT WAS DISPLACED!
