Hello there, my name is Dev Sandoval and this is a struggle my small family of 3 have been dealing with. I am suffering from severe ulcerative colitis that uses a cane and needs continuous help as I am unable to do basic task without help and my husband is my only caretaker and the only income we have. This is something I have been suffering with since Oct 2023 and did not get the answers for what was causing all this pain until Jan 26, 2026. Unfortunately, every time I've gone to the doctors to figure out what has been happening with me, I was dismissed. Even once I started making steps in the right direction, I found out I was about 14-16 weeks pregnant and they could not do tests while I was expecting . I had a very painful pregnancy that was VERY high risk. I went from 160 at the beginning of my pregnancy to 140 the day of my delivery. I also unfortunately suffered a hemorrhage and started to bleed out 30 minutes after giving birth, resulting in 3 blood transfusions. I have been asking doctors for help for years, and eventually it got so bad I drove myself to an ER in Loma Linda, California, where I was immediately admitted for a 3.9 hemoglobin and I was days away from death. That's where I spent an entire 9-day stay and I finally had the answers to all the pain and suffering, the vomiting, the massive amounts of rectal blood loss that I'd spend hours sobbing for it to stop, and it even got so bad I lost all control of my bowels. Since February 2026, I have been on steroids, opioids for pain (10ml of Norco and 10ml of Oxycodone). I have also been getting Remicade treatments every 4 weeks in order to help the inflammation and pain. If you do not know much about ulcerative colitis, this is an incurable autoimmune disease that can be VERY dangerous and deadly if not treated. My case is unfortunately very severe. Although the treatments may be able to help with inflammation, it will not cure me, and because I am putting these chemicals in my body through an IV, it significantly raises my chances of colon or lymphoma cancer. On top of all my appointments, treatments, and living 2 hours from the only hospital that knows how to treat me, it is failing. The Remicade is not responding to my body and has unfortunately made things WORSE for me. The ulcers and the disease in my colon have now spread and taken over my entire colon, also known as ulcerative pancolitis. My liver is inflamed because it is working overtime to try to keep me healthy, and as mentioned before, the Remicade comes with MANY risks. My heart is slowly having issues; even while laying down, I am at a 134 resting BPM. I can't even walk without having to sit down and feel like I might drop and pass out/drop dead. My husband is the only one working at this moment; he is also my only caretaker. My husband works very hard and does everything he can to help us, and on top of that, I've done anything I could to sell clothes or have any kind of income to help relieve his stress. He has to come home and clean for us. I cannot shower myself, so my husband has to help me wash my hair and body while I sit in a shower chair. He does the laundry, and he takes full care of our one-year-old daughter Rhaenyra even if he worked a 12-hour shift. I am making this GoFundMe to ask for any help I could get. My disability can take 6-9+ months or even up to a year to be fully looked at, and even then, it can be denied a few times before they finally accept me due to the number of people who apply for disability in the state of California. We would be so eternally grateful for any amount that might help us . All funds will go towards debts, rental payment to keep our house, car and insurance so we have transportation to my doctor's appointments and also Rhaenyra's doctor's appointments, and just making sure we don't lose everything and fall behind. Thank you so much for anyone who can give us any amount to help us out. We are so, so very grateful!

anyone who donates please reach out to me in the next week as we will be doing custom silly hand paintings by rhaenyra (our one year old bug eyed girl) as a small thank you for any of your help
