The anticipation, the planning and all the preparation for the first foal in a carefully planned breeding program - the future of her business. All of the family involved to make sure everything is perfect for this precious foal's arrival...

Then everything suddenly goes wrong.

If the heartbreak of losing a long-awaited first foal, just after birth by emergency caesarean, wasn't enough, then comes the devastating reality of the costs involved to hopefully save the mare's life. Rosé's life hangs in the balance, while the vet bills continue to grow with her critical care.

We are friends of Denya and of her mare Rosé. Having experienced the loss of a foal ourselves, as well as the sometimes prohibitive cost of care for a sick horse, we are asking anyone who sympathizes to give a little bit to help to offset the huge vet bill.

Denya is a caring and competent horsewoman, working hard to run a boarding business (which we know is emotionally rewarding but financially difficult). She bends over backwards to care for the horses while raising three little children. She has been supporting her local hunt in many ways for years, and is loved by so many horse people and their horses.

Out of our gratitude and love for her, sympathy for the tragic loss of the foal, and her desperate desire to save the life of her mare, we are asking for your help.
