Support David's Fight Against Cancer

Hi, I’m David.

I’ve recently been diagnosed with poorly differentiated neuroendocrine carcinoma, a rare and aggressive cancer that started in my colon and has spread to my liver.

While the diagnosis is serious, I’ve been incredibly fortunate in many ways. I have excellent medical care, a loving fiancé, strong family, and an amazing support system — including friends, coworkers, and workplace. The kindness, flexibility, and encouragement I’ve received from my team has made an overwhelming time a little more manageable, and I truly couldn’t be more grateful.

Right now, my biggest focus is on my two kids, both in high school — one of whom is preparing to start college next year (go Duke!). I want to keep their lives feeling steady and full of possibility, despite everything. I want them to stay focused on their futures, not on my illness.

This GoFundMe is to help with some of the extra costs that come with a diagnosis like this — a few things not fully covered by insurance, and some help in keeping things moving forward for my kids. It’s about giving them, and our family, some peace and normalcy in the middle of uncertainty.

As someone who’s usually pretty private, putting this out there isn’t easy, but your support, whether it’s a donation or simply sharing, means more than I can say.
