Hi, my name is Joli Colbert, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my beloved family member, Danette Simon — a strong, self-sufficient, and independent single mother who is now facing a heartbreaking loss. On July 23, 2025, Danette’s apartment was completely destroyed in a fire. In a matter of minutes, she and her children lost everything — their home, belongings, and sense of security. They escaped with only the clothes on their backs. 

Danette has always worked hard to provide for her kids, juggling the responsibilities of motherhood while working from home and running a small T-shirt printing business. Sadly, the fire also took all of her work-from-home equipment, making it impossible for her to continue earning income in this already difficult time. While the Red Cross has helped as much as they could, there’s still a long road ahead. We are humbly asking for your support.

Danette is doing everything she can to stay strong for her kids — but rebuilding a life from nothing is incredibly hard.
