Aid for Damilola: Rent Relief for Tough Times

Our friend Damilola Oladele has been having a rough time in the current job market and is on the verge of being evicted from his home. Members of the Wagtail CMS community are banding together to help him pay his rent for the year so that he has some breathing room as he continues to look for new job opportunities. Please join us in giving back to one of our most enthusiastic contributors.

Damilola has been contributing to Wagtail for multiple years. He has participated in Outreachy and Google Season of Docs with us. His contributions to our documentation have made our docs more consistent, well-organized, and clear. If you have ever done the extended Wagtail tutorial then you have Damilola to thank for writing it.

On top of making our docs even more awesome than they already were, Damilola has been an enthusiastic booster of our content on all of our social media channels. He has helped us spread the word about Wagtail among the African tech community and the next generation of open source contributors.

Damilola has given so much time and energy to us. Please consider giving what you can to help him out and make sure he has a roof over his head for the next year.

Because Damilola lives in Nigeria, he just can't share a Venmo account or another direct payment method with people who want to help him. We set up this GoFundMe as a way for anyone who would like to help to have a transparent way to contribute and Meagen Voss will be forwarding the funds to him. We'll provide updates when the money has been sent. The only expenses we're currently anticipating are wire transfer fees.
