Support Damian's Burn Recovery from a Work Related Explosion

It is with the deepest humility that we ask for our family and community’s help in supporting my youngest brother, Damian.

On Wednesday, July 2nd in the early afternoon, Damian suffered serious injuries from an accidental commercial-grade firework explosion. This incident was an unfortunate firework accident in which Damian’s stagehand colleague, an experienced pyrotechnic, sadly passed away. This was the first time Damian helped to prep fireworks that would later be used for a 4th of July firework show.

Because of the degree and severity of his burns, Damian was transported to a specialized burn center out of state for care and treatment and will then be transported to an inpatient rehabilitation hospital for further care when he is well enough.

I am glad to say that my brother is showing improvement, but it will be a long healing journey for him as a burn victim and survivor.

We are asking our family and community for your help in raising funds that would allow Damian to focus on his recovery for at least a couple of months. Funds raised will help cover his mortgage payment and bills during this time that he is on medical leave.

We are proud to say that Damian is a hardworking individual who holds a full-time position at CNM, works as a stagehand, takes classes to complete certifications that help him in his profession as an IT and sound specialist, and in addition would help other stagehands in jobs that would come up such as this one that would sadly end up impacting his life.

Every day we are grateful that Damian is alive, and we will continue to do everything we can to support him during this challenging time.
