Aid for Dad's Life-Saving Surgery

Hello everyone, my dad, who is 54 years old, found out he has advanced heart failure. The doctors will be doing an LVAD implant until his body is strong enough to be put on the heart transplant list. His surgery is Friday, and he will spend at least 14-21 days in the hospital and then months of recovery and caregiving. During this time, my mom will not be able to work as the only hospital in our area that does this is 3 hours away, and she will want to be with him the majority of the time.

I am asking for help in raising funds to cover my parents' rent, electricity, and water. They will also need help when medical bills start arriving from this surgery and money for gas cards and hotel stays for all of his follow-up care, as it will also be 3 hours away. The money donated may also be used to purchase specialized vests and shirts to hold the device, as they are quite expensive, starting at around $60-$80 each.

Any donation is very much appreciated. My dad has a long road of recovery (6-12 months) before he can be put on the heart transplant list, but I know with everyone's help, we can take one stress off of them, and it is the financial stress. Thank you in advance for your help!
