Aid for Courtney and Jason's Tough Journey

My name is Courtney, and I'm a stay-at-home mom who homeschools both of our children and takes care of our two fur babies. My husband Jason had a massive stroke on Feb 15th, 2025, and almost didn't make it. The left side of his body is currently paralyzed, and he is in therapy three times a week to help him move again. He was our only source of income and can no longer work for the foreseeable future, and I have become his full-time caregiver.

A few weeks ago, his 80-year-old father, with whom we live, got sick very quickly. He was admitted to the hospital, and we were told he had stage 4 lung cancer that had spread to his brain. Within a week, he declined so much, and on April 12th, he passed in the hospital. We're now at risk of losing the roof over our heads.

Jason has applied for disability. However, they've told us that it could take month and in some cases years and I'm working on trying to get paid through the state for being his caregiver. Right now, we're just trying to pay our bills and keep a roof over our heads and put food on the table. This has been an overwhelming situation.
