On the morning of November 25, 2025, our family home on Kimberly Lane in Lexington, NC caught fire. The fire caused extensive damage to the house, resulting in a collapsed roof and weakened floors.
The fire resulted in the death of three people - my twin sister, Aly (32), my younger sister, Megan (29), and my niece (Megan's daughter), Madelyn (3).
My sister in law, Cat, and my father, Neal, were able to make it out of the house. My mother, Tami, was out of the house working.
Aly got out of the house initially, but upon learning that Megan and Maddy were still inside, she went back in to try to retrieve them.
Aly and Cat just celebrated their wedding on November 8, 2025.
At this time, my parents are staying with my husband and I at our home in Smithfield, NC, until we can get everything sorted. Cat is staying with her family in Lexington. Funds raised through this GoFundMe will be used to provide housing, supplies, and care for the survivors of the fire - Tami and Neal, Cat, and Ryan - Megan's partner and Madelyn's father.
We would like to thank the community for their support so far. We'd like to specifically thank the neighbors, who called 911, who helped care for my dad and Cat when they got out, and for helping us with transportation to hospitals. We are devastated. Being days away from Thanksgiving and from mine and Aly's birthday, this is an incredibly painful time for all of us.
We would also like to thank the incredible firefighters and first responders who worked to extinguish the fire and attempted to rescue our loved one:
