Aid for Churches in Ethiopia

As you might know, normal life has been disrupted by the war in the Tigray Region of Ethiopia, and there is massive displacement of people and economic collapse, and widespread famine and human suffering.
We just now received a request from Desalegn Abebe, President of Meserete Kristos Church in Ethiopia, asking if we could do anything to find people willing to assist the five congregations in this war-disrupted Region with paying their rents for their places of worship and to help the desperate needy among them. Rents for the five congregations for the rest of the year would come to about $5,000 altogether. The full-time evangelist or pastors are also in desperate need, not to mention the many of the members who are in dire want. We are raising $5000 only for the rent at this time, but depending on how much people give we might extend to raise for human needs as well.
In response to this cry for help, we are willing to collect contributions to send to the Church leadership in Ethiopia. The distribution will be their responsibility.
