My son Christian, and his girlfriend Karin just lost Karin's service dog Queenie, and everything they have in a home electrical fire. The whole room went up in flames in moments.

Karin is a two-time cancer survivor. She still has a port in her chest. She is just starting to grow her hair out, and was feeling the blessings of being in remission. They are in the hospital right now. Karin is at UCI medical with 3rd-degree burns on her hands, and arms. Christian cut his arm open breaking the window to get into the bedroom where the outlet set on fire and where Queenie (their dog) was laying down. They tried everything to get to their dog, but unfortunately, Queenie died in seconds.

They are left with nothing. Only the clothes on their back, and nowhere to live. Karin may not be able to go back to work right away. They are going to need basic necessities when they are released from the hospital, somewhere to go, and counseling from losing her service

dog in such a horrific way.

We are reaching out to the community of friends and family to ask for help and to show love to these two kids just trying to make it through life. This is going to be a long haul for them. They keep saying it's all just stuff, but losing Queenie has devastated them completely. They worked hard just to have to pay rent and have basic necessities, and now all of that is gone. Even the keys to the car melted.
