My dog Chester was always the sweetest boy. He never met a stranger in his 10 years of life and always brought a smile to everyone’s face. We went everywhere and did everything together. Unfortunately a little more than a month ago he got a serious infection in a small wound on his front right leg, and although we tried everything within our power, including taking him to multiple very good animal hospitals, we couldn’t save him. I’ve been beside myself since I lost him, not only because I lost my best friend, but because I feel guilty that I couldn’t afford his medical bills. My parents never hesitated for a second. They paid the vast majority of the medical bills and have never asked to be paid back. But I want to pay them back. I know my parents paid at least $25,000 in vet bills (the combined invoice was 30 pages front and back). I honestly don’t expect to raise the full amount but it would mean the world to me to repay them for their generosity to try and save my sweet Chester.
