**Support Chasity and Her Family After Devastating Home Fire**

On Thursday, December 19th, my sister Chasity and her family experienced a devastating home fire. While they are incredibly fortunate that no one was injured, their beloved kitty Jake did not make it out, and Jake’s brother, O’Malley, had to be rushed into emergency care for his injuries. Thankfully, O'Malley is expected to recover, but the emergency treatment cost $6,800, which had to be paid upfront for the animal hospital to admit him.

In addition to the emotional toll, Chasity’s family faces the overwhelming challenge of finding short-term housing for the next 4-5 weeks, which will be financially burdensome, on top of the costs to replace most of their possessions. They are not ones to ask for help and take great pride in being the givers, so I’m reaching out on their behalf to ask for support.

I’ve created this GoFundMe to help with O'Malley's medical bills and to cover the costs of short-term housing. Any extra funds will go toward replacing their belongings and helping them get back on their feet once they’re able to move back into their home.
