Nena Charley unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, January 21st, 2025 as he was preparing to go to work that evening. Nena leaves behind his loving wife Kimie Charley and their beautiful 10 children.

A recent memo shared with his colleagues gives a little insight to this amazing individual, father, husband and friend: "Nena became part of the (Four Seasons) Hualalai family in 2007, starting as a Night Cleaner in our Stewarding Department. Over the years, his dedication and hard work earned him a promotion to Stewarding Supervisor. His passion for growth led him to explore the culinary world, where he continued to make an impact as our Pueo (overnight) Cook. Above all, Nena was a devoted family man with strong connections to the resort with family members working in Stewarding, Housekeeping and Laundry. Nena frequently spoke with pride about his children and their accomplishments. He was not only respected within our community but deeply admired by our work 'Ohana. Nena had a genuine interest in the well-being of everyone around him and always offered his help with a kind and open heart. His generous spirit, warm demeanor, and unwavering support for his team will never be forgotten."
