Aid For Bugs After Traumatic Injury and Surgeries

Hey! My name is Bugs B. I'm a 24 y/o trans-masc nonbinary dude going through a really hard time! Due to a skating incident (I'm a doofus), I have fractured both my tibia and fibula and must receive 2 surgeries to correct and fix my leg/ankle. I underwent the first surgery on Wednesday where they applied an external fixator (meaning I have pins/rods going all the way through my ankle on one side and out the other as well as pins in my shin bones all being held together outside my leg with a crazy heavy metal contraption) to keep everything stabilized until surgery #2.

(Super gross and horrifying so sorry)

Because of the severity and placement of said injuries I am obviously unable to work. And with that means I cannot pay my bills. I cannot pay my rent. And I DEFINITELY CANNOT pay off the amount of medical debt Ive been and will continue to wrack up after being in the hospital for almost a whole week and the surgeries/medications, as well as equipment I have to buy to make our apartment more accessible, there's nearly no way I can dig myself out of this alone.

Of course on top of everything, while I've been in the hospital, our fridge AND our A/C back at our apartment have completely crapped out so we lost all of our cold groceries and once I get discharged I have to go sit in an apartment that's stuck blowing 80° air. (Hopefully that is repaired asap)

My partner has been busting his butt trying to help me through all of this and has been with me every step of the way. However the financial strain on both of is is and is going to be significant.

Everything is still ongoing so I've yet to receive a bill or statement showing just how much I already owe but I will adjust the goal accordingly. Right now I'm just hoping to raise enough to be able to focus solely on healing and not stress about how much of a physical and financial nightmare this whole ordeal has been/is.

All funds raised here will go straight towards my bills/rent and medical supplies.

Once I've undergone both surgeries and have gotten to a good point in my healing to where I can get back into my metal studio, for anyone able to donate; I'd be happy to make a pendant/ring/lil buggy/ you name it! Maybe I'll try painting again as well !
