Help for Brittany's Family: Sudden Loss

My name is Hailey. Myself and my other sibling are setting up a GoFundMe for our sister Brittany. Our sister is facing unimaginable grief after the sudden loss of her beloved husband, Brook Cross. He leaves behind his wife, Brittany Cross, two very young children Kasen and Ryleigh (ages 5 and 3 years old), and a stepson Landon. It was a sudden and unexpected death. She is now navigating this difficult journey as a single mother to their young children. Brook was literally her everything: her rock, her comfort, her support, especially after losing our mother to cancer just last year. As you can only begin to imagine, Brittany has a lot going on, trying to figure out childcare and now being the sole provider for the house. Bills are already piling up, and the house is falling apart. Brook was the handyman and started a few projects that are now left unfinished. There are a ton of expenses that need to be covered. There is no life insurance policy. The family is understandably shocked by this loss and unfortunately not prepared for all that is happening at this time. Losing a loved one is always difficult, but coping with a sudden loss adds a different element to the grieving process. It doesn’t follow a pattern and there’s often a lack of closure.

Brook was a beacon of strength and love for his family, a devoted husband, and a cherished father. His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew him, a testament to a life well-lived. Though his physical presence is gone, his spirit endures, woven into the fabric of his family's lives.
