Aid for Boe's Stroke Recovery

Donation protected
A little bit about my husband and I before getting into what is going on. My name is Crystal (age 42) and my husband is William (a.k.a Boe, Will, Tiny) (age 43). We have been together since 1998. In 2019 we took custody of our 3 god daughters (now ages 7, 10, and 15) as they were not in the right living environment with their parents. In 2020 their biological father past away. In 2023 we then took custody of William's niece (now age 16).
Now onto the reasoning of this GoFundMe...
Ones that know me or my husband know it takes a lot for us to reach out and ask for help. They also know that we will help anyone at anytime with no questions asked. Unfortunately, we have come to that moment where we have no other choice but to reach out for help ourselves.

As some may know, on January 17th at 4:00 am, William was rushed to the hospital as a stroke alert. Once he arrived at the hospital, they immediately performed a CT scan which confirmed he had a stroke. They also found a blood clot in an artery of the brain, which is what caused the stroke. Within an hour of him arriving at the hospital, they rushed him back to surgery to perform a cerebral thrombectomy in order to drain the blood clot. The surgery was a success but is not completely out of the woods just yet. He has to have an MRI to see what damage has been done and see if there are any other issues. He is currently awaiting the MRI due to doctors needing to find out if he is able to have one with his ICD (pacemaker). He is schedule to have a TEE (cardiac transesophageal echocardiogram) performed on January 20th to evaluate for cardiac source of embolism (reason for the blood clot). He will have to stay in the hospital for a minimum of 2 weeks while they monitor and treat him for the stroke. He lost motor skills and his sight in his right eye but is slowly getting them back. He has to do physical therapy to learn to walk again and to do basic everyday activities such as brushing his teeth and washing his face. Doctors are anticipating that he will have to do inpatient physical therapy once released from the hospital.

Prior to this, July of 2022 William under went surgery for a diabetic ulcer on his foot (still not 100% healed) which caused him to be out of work for 7 months and follow up appointments weekly after returning to work. Shortly after returning to work his foot got infected and he returned to the hospital for yet another surgery.

May of 2023 I (Crystal) had a major heart attack and was admitted into the hospital. After 2 weeks in the hospital they performed open heart surgery where they performed a triple bypass. This lead me to be out of work for quite some time. Once I was released to return to work I had another episode with my heart which landed me back in the hospital and out of work for a few more weeks before finally being able to return.

November 14, 2024 William was back in the hospital to undergo another surgery. His ICD battery had died and they had to replace his ICD. He has been out of work since then.

All financial responsibilities have now landed on me (Crystal) and me alone. We have reached our max on any savings we had. We have falling way behind on our bills due to the many months of having only one income at times. Once he is released, we will have additional bills for his therapy and medical equipment that he will need. We are asking for help to get us through all this and still have a house over our head, electric, water, vehicles and gas to get us to where we need to go. Depending on the outcome of his physical therapy we may also need help with child care.

So if you could donate (even if its just a dollar or 2) or at least share this, it would be greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate but prefer not through GoFundMe, I do have Cashapp ($chayes4901), Venmo (@cahayes9498, and Zelle (cahayes9498 at gmail.com).
