Support Mrs. DeNisi & family - lost home in Palisades fire

Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

We come to you with heavy hearts after the Palisades fire destroyed the home of our beloved Berkeley Hall School Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Barbara DeNisi. While she, her husband Nick, their family and their chihuahuas Muffin, Porky and Birdy and their cat, Polka Dot, are thankfully safe, they lost their home, all of their belongings, and treasured memories.

Mrs. DeNisi grew up in this home and it contained the memories of her own childhood, raising her own children and her grandchildren. They poured their heart and soul into building this family home over so many years. It was their sanctuary and safe space.

Mrs. DeNisi has devoted decades of her life to teaching, including being the only faculty member who has been at BHS since it moved to its current campus in 1980. She has touched countless young lives and families with her kindness, guidance, and unwavering dedication. She has been a cornerstone of so many children’s education, inspiring and nurturing them tirelessly from the day they step into her classroom. Mrs. DeNisi is the teacher we should all be so lucky to have had.

Those who know Mrs. DeNisi know her love for her students and the Berkeley Hall community knows no bounds. Despite losing her home, Mrs. DeNisi is anxious for school to reopen so she can get back to work and her students.

Now, it's our turn to support her and her family during this unimaginable time.

Our goal is to raise funds to help the DeNisi family recover. Every contribution—no matter the size—will make a meaningful difference. If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this campaign is also a tremendous help.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your generosity and for coming together to help someone who has given so much to our children - and so many children and families over the years. Together, we can show Mrs. DeNisi and her family they are not alone on this journey.
