My name is Kydiah, and I am the proud mother of two wonderful boys, including my 12 year old son, Ayden. Ayden was born healthy, but at just two months old, he suffered severe brain injuries that changed our lives forever. He spent over a month in the hospital, half of that time in a medically induced coma. Since then, we have been navigating lifelong medical needs, including medications, therapies, and feeding tubes.

Over the last two years, Ayden has become almost completely wheelchair dependent. I do my best to care for him while also raising his younger brother, often with little to no help from family. Caring for Ayden has required me to make sacrifices, including losing jobs and opportunities, to prioritize his health and safety.

Recently, life dealt us another setback. After saving for months, I purchased a vehicle large enough to transport Ayden and all his adaptive equipment, but it was totaled by a drunk driver in January. This loss has set back many of our goals and left us struggling to manage day to day life, medical needs, and bills.

We’ve also just come through another difficult hospitalization two weeks for pneumonia and thyroid complications adding to the financial strain.

I am reaching out because we need help. Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward supporting Ayden’s care, his medical equipment, and keeping our family stable during this challenging time.
