Aid for Athena's Family: Funeral and Living Expenses

Hi, my name is Ashley Evans and I'm starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my daughter's best friends mother, Angela Huro.

It is with a heavy heart that I share the sudden and devastating loss of Athena Greco to suicide on August 23, 2024. She was only 16 years old. She leaves behind her mother Angela Huro and younger brother Angel! Athena would have been a junior on Monday at Sherwood High School.

I'm hoping to raise funds to help Angela cover the cost of getting Athena back to Maryland, medical, funeral rent and bills as she will be off of work for sometime to take care of things!

I am also hoping to bring light to the suicide epidemic - such a permanent decision often made because of a temporary problem, has a lifelong devastating ripple effect on the loved ones left behind. For anyone who needs to hear this please know you are not alone, you are loved, and don't be afraid to ask for help. There is always hope and brighter days ahead.
