In July, just after his second birthday, it was discovered that Asher Wells has a condition called Craniosynostosis and Chiari malformation type 1 and is now required to undergo a major neurosurgery called cranial vault reconstruction on September 8th, 2025. If he does not have this surgery he would have lifelong deficits including vision loss, coordination impairments, developmental delays, and even death. Asher will be in the ICU for two days following the surgery, and then will have another three day stay at Nationwide Children’s following the surgery before he is sent home. This will require a 6 week recovery time. During this time Danny and Krista will need to take off work with no benefits to take care of Asher. Without much needed help they will not be able to afford to be there for their child during his recovery. This money would be used to cover expenses for the family while Asher is in recovery along with some of Asher’s medical bills. Any donation would be a great help to this family in need.

I have had the amazing privilege of seeing my nephew grow up first hand, watching his growth in crawling, to walking, then running wherever he can, and also getting to see his speech develop from cries to him slamming on my door screaming uncle.
