Aid for Animals and Recovery After Hurricane Helene Flooding
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
This past weekend, Hurricane Helene brought utter destruction and devastation to so many people. Unfortunately, my mom was one of them. NE Tennessee was severally impacted from the flooding of the hurricane. The Nolichucky River overflowed to an extreme and historic record.
No one could have ever expected this and everyone had very little time to do anything. Miraculously my mom was able to get out herself and the animals in time. That being said, mom lost everything that she had been working on. My mom’s campground was right on the Nolichucky river in Greene County. The flooding damaged everything just beyond repair. The entire campground was fully underwater. Everything that was once there is gone or just completely broken. Chicken coop, barn, etc. A part of the land is also just completely gone now, fully consumed and is part of the river now. I just have no words to describe the utter destruction this hurricane and flood brought.
We’re asking for any help you can offer. My mom has horses, goats, donkeys, cows, chickens, and dogs, and has no way to feed them now. She has been without electricity since Friday and without water since Sunday. She unfortunately does not have flood insurance and therefore will get absolutely nothing for everything that she lost.
Donations will be used to feed the livestock and to rebuild and restore all the farm supplies lost.
If you’re able to donate anything at all, that would mean the world to me and my mom, as she is barely surviving right now. Mentally and emotionally, this has been one of the hardest things we have had to go through. Please keep my mom in your prayers.
