Aid for Angelina

On the 12th of April 2021, our friend Angelina was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer.  Angelina is a kind and dedicated single parent to her 10-year-old daughter Keira. This was unexpected and although Angelina is fighter there has been some set backs on her path to recovery. She has endured 2 surgeries, chemotherapy and several blood transfusions. It is expected that Angelina will remain in hospital for quite some time and although her treatment plan is unclear, she needs to regain strength to carry on with chemotherapy.  As many are aware, Cancer does not discriminate and it does not take into consideration it’s victims’ circumstances. We can only imagine how young Keira must feel with all this uncertainty surrounding her and her Mum. She is a brave girl and Angelina is her whole world. It is important that Angelina takes time to heal and recover so she can continue with chemotherapy.  Although this is a battle only Angelina can fight, we can help ease the burden of finances. When Covid hit in 2020, Angelina, like many, lost her job.  She has been working in various occupations, book keeping, accounts, safety officer even fruit picking to support herself and Keira. Angelina has been a SES volunteer since 1995 and she also volunteered for the Rural Fire Brigade in Cooktown.  She is a proud lady, a hard worker, giving, selfless and an exceptionally wonderful Mum.  I am asking on her behalf for your help. Please donate, any amount you can spare would be gratefully appreciated. We want Angelina to focus on getting better without the stresses of finances and bills.   All monies raised will go directly to Angelina and Keira.
