Hi everyone, my name is Alexis, and I am raising money for my dad to support him through his unexpected stay in the hospital.

Yesterday, my dad left work early, which he never does, because he had really bad chest pain. I convinced him to drive straight to the hospital, and he barely made it. When I got to the ER, he was crying, wincing, and telling me his arm hurt. We thought it was a heart attack. (Happy birthday to him)

After a bunch of tests, we found out he has pneumonia and needs a heart bypass. He had two stents put in last October, but now there are more blockages that weren’t caught before. He’s in a lot of pain, and Mari and I have been at the hospital every day to help him talk to the doctors and figure out what’s next.

We’re raising money to help cover his medical bills and replace Mari’s lost income while she’s here with him. My dad has always been the first to help anyone in need, even when he didn’t have much himself. When they told him he’d have to stay for a few weeks, his first worry wasn’t his health, it was how he was going to pay for it.

If you know my dad, you know he’s one of the most selfless people out there. Right now he needs some help back. Anything you can give - whether it’s a donation, a share, or just some words of encouragement - would mean so much to us.
