Hello, my name is Raquel Guillen. I am Adrianna’s mother, Alfonzo’s mother in law. As most of you know, their neighbors suffered a severe house fire. This fire spread to one side of Adrianna’s house as you can see in the picture. The picture depicts only the damage on the outside of the home. Although extremely fortunate that their home was not destroyed and nobody was hurt, this has affected their lives tremendously. The two windows in the picture were broken by the fire and therefore allowing the smoke from the fire to enter their house freely and if anyone knows, this is just as much of a problem as if having lost everything in the fire. The smoke has penetrated their house and everything in it. Therefore making it impossible to live in. Yes, thankfully they have insurance, and hopefully they will help with repairs and some of the expenses, but what no one knows is that their insurance has a deductible. I overheard a conversation between Adrianna and Alfonzo in which they were trying to figure out how to get the money that has to come out of their pocket. This was an expense that they were not anticipating. It pains me to see my daughter crying. Yes a cleaning service will come in and “clean” what they can, but my kids have to gather their belongings, and be in the house and although wearing masks the smell is still very much a nuisance. Many things will have to be thrown away. Not to mention the hassles of having to stay somewhere else…and having to take days off from work. Having had to take their pets to the vet (another expense) for one of their pups was severely injured by the fire. Only days before they suffered an accident with their car and that too was an unexpected expense. It hurts me to see my kids going through so much. Those who know Adrianna and Alfonzo know that they both have a heart of gold and will give the shirts off their backs for anyone. They are exemplary people, awesome parents and work hard for what they have. So with my heart in my hands I ask if anyone can find it in their hearts to help my kids it will be extremely appreciated! Between work, and kid’s sports, and unexpected bills they already have so much on their plate. The stress is overwhelming to them. Thank you for taking the time to read this
