My dad got diagnosed with an advanced mouth cancer that has possibly metastasized in other parts of his body, meaning stage IV. He is still in the process of getting fully diagnosed, but we know he has an advanced form of lymphoma and possibly two cancers to fight, one after the other.
My dad is a teacher for 8th and 9th graders in math and because of the cancer, he has to miss the entire month of May. Along with this, cancer treatments and medicines are expensive, and he might be missing the months after summer break off of work as well to recover from chemo and radiation therapy.
So the first goal is $4000 before June 1st. Then from there the goal will increase accordingly to treatment costs and missed work.
My dad is an extremely hard-working veteran who would love to see his children, me and my sister figure out early adulthood and figure out the key to helping his students succeed. He says he's just beginning to figure things out as a teacher, and wants to come back to it with renewed vigor after beating this, God willing.
Anything helps, thank you very much.
