Aid for a Mom and Her Brave Boys' Healing Journey
Donation protected
I am an elementary school teacher in a suburb of St. Louis. I am reaching out to raise funds for a family in our school. Mom is a single mom raising two beautiful boys ages 10 and 12. Both boys have recently been injured in an accident and have acquired bills from the hospital that were completely unexpected. Each sustained multiple lacerations and burns to the face, but we are hopeful those will heal with minor scarring. One of the children has lost three fingers and could potentially lose his left hand, which directly affects his academics due to him being left-handed. His right hand also suffered burn damage, and currently, he can only use three of his fingers. He will begin physical therapy for his hand multiple times a week, which requires mom to have to be home to care for the boys and not be able to work. Her FMLA doesn't begin to cover the expenses needed to raise two boys in a normal setting, much less in a situation that requires constant trips to the hospital and possible reconstructive surgeries that lie ahead.
I'm asking you to please help this wonderful family continue on with their lives and help mom be able to provide what her children need both medically and financially. Anything helps. You are greatly appreciated.
