Hi, my name is Rafael Espinoza. I want to ask the community to help my parents in need. My dad, Flabiano Espinoza, suffered a stroke. He had a blood clot on his brain. We tried our best to rush him to the hospital in Ketchum, but due to the wind storm, they were not able to fly him to Boise in time, causing brain damage. He was in the ICU getting treated, and they tried their best to keep him safe from internal brain hemorrhage. So far, he's been stable, but there will be life changes. He's the main household support for the family, especially his wife, Maria. He's a CDL truck driver, and that's how he makes a living. After this news, everything will change in his life. My mom is a stay-at-home babysitter. With all this going on, my dad will need special care and treatment. My mom doesn't drive, so her life will change dramatically, and the money collected will be just to get them back on their feet and hopefully find ways to recover mentally, emotionally, and physically. Any donations will help my parents until we figure out what's the next step.
3/19/25 update
my dad was supposed to be released the next day at 8am he was doing great lot of improvements the last mission was to be able to eat and drink. I was going to go back to Hailey since my dad was improving. When I was walking to the parking lot I got a call from my mom to come back asap, that my dad had got sick again. I was able to get back. Never did I expect to walk into the hospital room where he was dying from his muscles collapsing and not allowing himself to breathe. They rushed him back to The ICU . Where they had to put him on life support. The result of a CT scan showed he had a hemorrhage. We had seconds to decide if we wanted Drs to perform brain surgery to relieve pressure. They told us he had lost half of his brain due to the damage of the blood. Something we did not understand why it had happened and Drs still did not have answers. His been fighting every day to survive. They have been doing everything possible to keep him stable. Lost a lot of blood and also we came to learn he had a bacteria in the bloodstream.

MRI scans showed he had a leaking heart valve. And the bacteria in his blood was making the blood and bacteria form clots. And that would make the valve fail and he can potentially loose the battle due to a bacterial infection blowing out the valve, and bleeding out. The Valve can’t be replaced until 3 months after his stable. He will need open heart surgery and only time will tell if he can make it to surgery day. Please keep the prayers going we want my Dad home.
