Aid Fiancée's Recovery from Moyamoya Bypass Surgery
Donation protected
In 2022, my fiancée suffered a stroke 3 weeks post partum, and was then diagnosed with a rare brain disease called moyamoya which to this day still has very limited research on causes and doctors have yet to find a cure.
I met my fiancee my freshman year of high school and she is the strongest and most independent person I know. Trust me sometimes she’d rather suffer than even ask me for help lol . She’s been through so much throughout her life and I’m so lucky for us to find our way back to each other and have the chance to spend the rest of our lives together.
Our family means the world to me and she’s been such a warrior dealing with her moyamoya for the last couple of years until it took a turn for the worst.
June 9, 2025 she will undergo one of the most & scariest experiences of her life because she has reached a point where she’s experiencing multiple TIAs (mini strokes) a week and has no choice but to take the 50 % chance that a cerebral direct & indirect bypass surgery will help reduce the her chances of another major stroke coming. My fiancee is a fighter, no matter how tough it gets no matter how many bad days she has she keeps on fighting. She’s one tough cookie.
Funds raised will go towards additional medical expenses insurance will not cover, caregiving support that she will need once discharged home that insurance does not assist with (she will need around the clock care) as well as any additional medical supplies needed during her long journey to recovery.
Please consider donating and sharing this campaign. Most importantly please keep my fiancee and our family in your thoughts and prayers. She keeps a brave face for me and the kids, but I know deep down in side she’s terrified.
