On Wednesday, June 4, 2025, there was a devastating accident that occurred involving a wrong-way driver on the freeway. The man at the center of this accident was my husband, Fernando, who was on his way to work when the wrong-way driver collided into his vehicle. Fernando is a hardworking man and a loving husband, father and grandfather. He’s been working as an arborist for 20 years and became a foreman over 2 years ago. Due to the severity of his injuries, Fernando will not be able to go back to doing what he loves.

Despite being transported to the hospital in critical condition and undergoing multiple surgeries, Fernando's strength and resilience continue to inspire us all. While he still has several challenging procedures ahead, we remain hopeful and grateful for the progress he's making each day.
