Hi, my name is Julia Eshete, and I'm fundraising for Ezedin Kamil. Here's his story:
Hello, I'm Ezedin Kamil. I'm a 20-year-old Ethiopian innovator, entrepreneur and software engineering student in Istanbul, Turkey. I have created 37 inventions, including health-focused inventions such as a coronavirus bracelet, a mechanical ventilator for covid patients, an automatic soap and sanitizer dispenser, and a foot-operated hand washing station. Fourteen of my inventions have been patented.
I have won fourteen local and two international awards so far. My vision is to change the negative narratives of Africa through innovation and entrepreneurship. Research shows that 8.1% of deaths of infants in Africa is by hypothermia. My invention is designed to decrease the deaths of newborns that are affected by hypothermia.
I am requesting $3,000 to support my participation in an international competition by developing an invention called "Bejua," an electronic bracelet that ties to both the infant baby and the mother's hand. This bracelet will detect the baby's temperature and report it in real-time to the mother's bracelet or the mother's mobile.
Please help support Ezedin Kamil in this project. The competition start date will be on the 13th of May. Any amount in donating is appreciated!
