Aid Eve's Horses and Family in Crisis
Donation protected
Helping Hoof is collecting funds for our dear friend Eve and her two horses, Joseph and Rio. Eve had to leave her home in Millard Canyon in the middle of the night with her boyfriend Mischa, his 82-year-old father, and their 5 cats for the safety of her parent's home up north. By the time they were able to get a cell signal, her beloved horses had thankfully already been evacuated by someone else at their barn. That barn is now gone, and Eve and her boyfriend still do not know if they will have a home to come back to. They have returned to Los Angeles to find their community, Altadena, in ashes as they attempt to begin to assess the damage. They are still being blocked from returning to their home site by the National Guard and are told there are still spot fires where their home home potentially, hopefully, still is. To make matters worse, Mischa's father was in a car accident and Eve is still recovering from an accident before the start of the fire. She has 20 stitches in her leg.
To say these friends need help is putting it mildly. They are grateful for their lives but need help paying for the trailering of the horses and other expenses. Currently, LAEC is generously covering the cost of board and care for Joseph and Rio, but this is meant to be temporary and she will need to find a place for them to live while Bob Williams starts to rebuild his home and the barn.
You can donate here for Eve and here for Bob and Williams Ranch.
