On January 24th, Everett went to the ER to be evaluated for some pain he was having. Shortly after being examined he was admitted to the ICU. With further testing it was determined he had a staph infection that got into his blood stream. It also affected his heart. The family had been working with a cardiologist in the ICU to determine the extent of the damage. Once that was determined he was transferred to a hospital better equipped to perform an open heart two valve replacement surgery. On February 4th the operation was performed and successful.
He still has a long road of recovery ahead of him. He will need physical therapy to rebuild his strength, further treatment to get rid of the infection, and more doctor visits to make sure everything is going according to plan.
Everett does everything he can for anyone he can. He’s the first one to lend out a helping hand. He always makes sure that his parents are taken care of, that his kids have everything they need and is the first to show up in a crisis.
Anything you can donate would be appreciated more than you know. With recovery, going back to work right now is impossible and we’d love to be able to help him anyway that we can. This is a good start.
