Aid Enzo's Recovery and Family's Journey

My name is Christina. I am Melissa Huffman's mother. This fundraiser is being set up to help Melissa and her fiancé, Tyler Lau, with expenses related to the healthcare of Enzo Lee Lau, born on May 20, 2025.

Enzo's life did not start so easily. The poor little guy was born with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck twice. He was taken almost immediately to the Newborn Special Care Unit at Marshfield Clinic - Eau Claire, where he would spend most of the next 4 days on a C-Pap machine and oxygen. On the evening of Saturday, May 24, Enzo received a helicopter ride to Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin. After some testing, such as an echocardiogram and others, he has been diagnosed with persistent pulmonary hypertension in a newborn (PPHN).

In addition to Enzo, they have three other boys, Matt (5), Jaxon (3), and Kenny (3), whom they have not been able to see much because they have been at the hospital.

As far as finances, Melissa's pay is much less while she is on leave, and due to starting her new job in October, she is only able to take leave until June 30. Tyler is scheduled to go back to work on June 4. At this time, we are not sure when Enzo will be able to come home. Any donations for the unexpected medical expenses and travel will be extremely helpful for them and very appreciated.
