Aid Emmanuel's Dream to Compete Again

Hello!

My name is Ines and I am writing on behalf on my family for our cousin, Emmanuel, who lives in Venezuela. He is an 18 year old athlete and CrossFit champion who recently competed in Columbia to represent his country. He placed first in this event, making both his country and our family incredibly proud.

Since then, he was invited to represent Venezuela in Ecuador and had been looking forward to competing on an international level. Sadly, during a recent practice session, Emmanuel tore his meniscus and requires surgery to repair this in order to continue competing in his area of expertise.

Given the dire economic situation of his home country of Venezuela, our family in Venezuela is not able to afford the required surgery which costs $4,000 (private insurance does not exist in Venezuela and everyone must pay cash up front for any healthcare needs).

We established this GoFundMe with the hope of raising some money toward the cost of Emmanuel’s surgery. Any amount, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated by our family. We are hoping to help Emmanuel get back on his feet and achieve his dreams as an athlete!
