My name is Wanda Neadom and I’m raising funds for my sister Emily.
In the early morning (1 am) of January 7th, my sister Emily got up to get a drink and go to the bathroom. While walking back to her bedroom, she walked off through the doorway to the stairs instead of her bedroom, which is right next to the stairs doorway. She fell headfirst down a staircase. The landing was horrific, and she sustained many severe injuries to her head and face. She broke both hands, and her wrist and arm on her left side are broken. The extent of her injuries in a fall like this are hard to determine a day or even a week afterward; however, the physicians that have been caring for her can positively say she will be recovering for a good 8 weeks or more.
If you know my sister, she is one of the best people I know. She’s the one who gives and gives to people in need with no questions asked. She’s been a nurse in the Binghamton area for close to 30 years, and I can say without a doubt she is loved and cherished by her patients and co-workers alike. She is generous to a fault to many people she doesn’t even know, just because she knew they needed help. Now she needs help.
Like I said, we know for sure Emily won’t be back to work for a couple of months, and due to the fact she won’t be able to use her hands, she will need help. Family and friends, I’m asking for your financial help to cover her monthly bills and expenses so that she won’t have to worry about that and can concentrate on recovery.
Thank you so much for any contribution.
