Elizabeth and Christian Grogan have shared many beautiful years together, dreaming of expanding their family. After facing challenges with conception and numerous hurdles along the way, their prayers were finally answered — they were blessed with a precious gift: their first child.
Elizabeth discovered she was pregnant at 29 weeks, a moment of overwhelming joy and excitement for the couple. Their world changed instantly with the arrival of their beautiful baby boy on Friday, a true miracle they had long hoped for.
However, their joy was soon overshadowed by a serious health emergency. Shortly after giving birth, Elizabeth began experiencing severe health issues. She was diagnosed with Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (TTP) — a rare and potentially life-threatening blood disorder characterized by the formation of blood clots in small blood vessels throughout the body. TTP can cause a dangerously low platelet count, leading to bleeding problems, organ damage, and other serious complications.
Elizabeth was initially hospitalized at Dixon Hospital until Tuesday, when she was transferred to the ICU at Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford for specialized care. The road to recovery will be long, and the financial burden of travel, medical expenses, and caring for their newborn is overwhelming.
We are reaching out to ask for your support. If you are able to contribute, your generosity will help cover medical bills, travel costs, and essentials needed to care for Elizabeth and their precious baby during this difficult time.
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. Please keep Elizabeth, Christian, and their new little one in your thoughts and prayers. Your kindness and support mean the world to this family as they navigate through this challenging chapter.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
