Aid Elena's Family After Devastating Accident

Elena Howell Dark was in a very bad wreck yesterday in front of Walmart in Jonesboro. She had to be cut out of her minivan in order to get her to the hospital. She was rushed into emergency surgery at St. Francis to remove her ruptured spleen and then transferred to LSU Shreveport last night around midnight. She has two pelvic fractures that are going to require surgery and lots of rehabilitation. Elena is married to Jeffery Dark. Elena is a stay at home mom to three small children, Zoe, Axel, and Remi. Jeffery is a truck driver and is on the road a lot. Elena recently lost her medical insurance coverage just prior to the accident. Their vehicle is most likely irrepairable.
