Edward is a senior rescue who started as a stray at a high-kill shelter and recently moved from LA to his new home in DC. Four days after being adopted, he lost all mobility in his hind legs due to IVDD, a life-impacting condition.

Edward has been in the hospital for two days and is undergoing surgery in Maryland, which gives him a 95% chance of returning to a normal life. While the surgery and associated costs (therapy, medication, MRI) are the right choice for Edward, this is a huge, unexpected medical expense, and Edward is too new to be covered by insurance.
