As many of you are aware, Ed Briggs suffered a spinal stroke the weekend of November 9th. He is currently receiving treatment at Bethel Health Care Center. Ed has dedicated over 40 years of his life to helping others. Whether it was volunteering through the American Red Cross, or through his work in EMS, emergency management, and public health, Ed was always there to help serve the community.

Ed is determined to get back on his feet and has been working hard physically to recover. He continues to strength his arms and legs in order to be more mobile on his own.

While Ed is fortunate to have insurance, the insurance coverage is limited for rehabilitation, and there are still significant expenses that won’t be covered by insurance. Ed still needs a lot of rehabilitation to be able to go home. Once home, he will continue to receive rehab. He is determined to return to work, volunteering and all the things he loves to do.

Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward helping cover medical costs and rehabilitation and ensuring that Ed can focus on healing without the added stress of the financial burden.
