My name is Carrie and I’ve known Leah since the 6th grade and met Dusty about 6 years ago. I live all the way across the country in Indiana but always make my way west to visit at least once per year to see “The Moores”.

If you haven’t heard, Dusty had a terrible accident at home on 9/7 that caused 3rd degree burns on both of his hands, arms, neck, shoulders, back and parts of his face. He is in stable condition but will be in the hospital for a couple of weeks. Surgeries for skin grafts are most likely in his future. He’s fighting a fever due to the swelling and quite honestly, is lucky to be alive. The pain is significant but you wouldn’t be able to tell seeing him.

These next few months are going to be tough for Dusty, Leah, Ty, and Penny and as much as we all want to help, there a very few things any of us can do at this point in his recovery. However, the looming unexpected medical bills and supplies, repairs from the fire damage and lack of income until he’s fully healed is something we can definitely help with! Please consider giving anything that you can. I know this would be one less thing for them to worry about and they can focus on Dusty and getting him healthy, back on his feet and working on his Ramblers in no time!
