lDustin Garner is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. He's always willing to give a helping hand. He has been the Deputy Chief of Roanoke Wildwood Fire Department for a few years. A few months ago, Chief Wilkins gave him the opportunity to take the EMT course, and Dustin graciously took the offer. He even went to take his state boards for the first time while running a fever. After a few weeks, he began feeling sick with all kinds of symptoms. He finally had to take off work completely with no pay and was barely getting out of bed except for doctor's appointments. To top it off, he and his wife, Jennifer Garner, have not even had their first wedding anniversary!
After multiple doctors and more specialists, he called me and said, 'Mama, you won't believe it. I'm starting to feel back to myself!' One of the doctors at Duke suggested that he was having bad reactions to the vaccines he was required to take before he started his clinicals for EMT.
Well, our hearts sank when he told me that all of the symptoms have come back!
I'm asking for donations if possible because he owes so many doctor and doctor's appointments that we are obviously not. If you can or cannot make a donation, every prayer is very much needed.
- Thank you ahead of time to anyone who has gone through anything like this or has any advice will be welcome.
